Zagreb
Zagreb is the capital and the largest city of Croatia. It is located in the northwest part of the country, along the Sava river, at the southern slopes of the Medvednica mountain. Zagreb lies at an elevation of approximately 122 m (400 ft) above sea level. The population of the City of Zagreb was 792,875 in 2011. The wider Zagreb metropolitan area includes the City of Zagreb and the separate Zagreb Country bringing the total metropolitan area population up to 1,113,100, making about 25 % of total population of Croatia. Zagreb is a city with a rich history dating from the Roman times.

Travelling to Zagreb
By Air:
You will arrive at Zagreb Airport, which is located about 17 km from the centre, 20-25 minutes by car or bus. From there, you will take any local bus or tram to travel further to your destination. Zagreb Airport has numerous rent-a-car offices and restaurants an a large parking lot.
By Train:
There are many train connections to Zagreb from Western and Eastern Europe. The Main Zagreb Railway Station is located in the centre of the City at Trg Kralja Tomislava 12, a ten minutes walk from Trg Bana Jelacica – the central city square. The Main Railway Station offers: cloakroom, seat reservation office, information booth, money exchange, restaurants, advertizing, lost and found office and car transport by rail.

By Air:
